Restaurant Review: MY&SANNÉ, Brompton Road, Knightsbridge

You may have seen MY&SANNÉ’s stunning floral interiors, gorgeous bright cocktails, decorative dishes and pretty desserts pop up on your Instagram feed, especially if you are a foodie or love exploring London’s top dining experiences. For a restaurant so new, it really is causing quite a stir on socials, and for good reason. I visited MY&SANNÉ to see if it was just as gorgeous in real life.

Located in the heart of Knightsbridge, MY&SANNÉ fits perfectly into its aesthetic, polished surroundings. Adorned with flowers on the outside and a huge glass window that frames a scene that could be mistaken for an overflowing flower shop or Tuscan garden terrace. Step inside, and you will be overwhelmed with the beautiful sight of brightly coloured faux climbing flowers, hanging wisteria, ivy and bountiful blossoms covering every surface from floor to ceiling. Amidst this mass of flowers, spot hanging birdcages, watering cans and trellises which create the feeling of being in a paradisiacal garden.

MY&SANNÉ cocktailsOur friendly waitress handed us a cocktail menu full of signature creative concoctions. MY&SANNÉ is already famous for its ‘Blue Bird’ made from vanilla vodka, lime, blue curaçao, yuzu, fresh blueberries and cointreau -naturally, I opted for this which made for the perfect ‘insta’ drink to feature against the wall festooned with flowers (it even comes in a bird-shaped glass, sat in a little wooden box as its ‘nest’ and has rosemary tail feathers). My guest selected the ‘Caribbean Emerald’ – an eye-popping greeny-blue cocktail with flavour to match, made from gin, white rum, tequila, blue curaçao, lemon, passion fruit and apple juice.

To kick off the evening’s dining we chose to share between two; crispy fried calamari, Greek salad with honey and feta and Padron peppers. MY&SANNÉ’s overarching food theme is Mediterranean, specializing in regional dishes with hints of Greek, Italian and Asian flavours. The stand out starter for us was the calamari – delightfully crispy whilst still tender and flavoursome inside, these were perfect alongside the crunchy fresh Greek salad and moreish Padron peppers scattered in flakes of sea salt.

London RestaurantsMoving onto the mains; a prawn and zucchini risotto, a Kamchatka crab burger with mixed leaf salad and zucchini spaghetti. MY&SANNÉ again came up trumps here on flavour and beautifully picturesque platters.

MY&SANNÉThe central feature of MY&SANNÉ’s interior is their dessert and cake counter. With an exquisite array of cakes, puddings, tarts and more, this showstopper will have you whipping out your phone to snap away at these little works of delicious art. Now, usually with cakes and desserts this pretty, they tend to be an anti-climax in taste – but this is certainly not the case with MY&SANNÉ. Deciding on the ‘Passion Fruit Meringue’ which had the aesthetic goal of an Asian dessert and the exquisite taste of a rich Italian classic, I slid my fork into satisfyingly sweet and fluffy marshmallowy meringue top through to mouth-watering passion fruit pips and a buttery golden biscuit base – faultless. My guest opted for the classic creamy tiramisu, which represented Italy proudly.

In conclusion, a trip to MY&SANNÉ is worth more than a visit just for the aesthetic interiors, (although this is a huge part of the allure) because the food is equally as tasty as the decor is pretty, definitely one not to be missed.
