London Restaurant Review: Bill’s Restaurant Soho

‘Come for the dinner, stay for the drinks’ that is Bill’s mantra when it comes to their new ‘Night Fever’ experience. And they are right, Night Fever at Bill’s Restaurant Soho is so much more than just a glittering new menu. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights guests at Bill’s can now immerse themselves in the ultimate disco and dining experience sure to put anyone in a groovy mood, whatever their tastes. This was exactly the case when I visited the Soho restaurant on a Thursday night with two friends in tow.

Bill’s Restaurant Soho

If you have ever visited any Bill’s before, you will be familiar with its stylish yet comfortable décor which easily transitions from day to night, as well as its sparkling bar which is always generously stocked with favourites ripe for making cocktails. This therefore easily became the perfect setting for music and more and as we walked in at 6.30pm, the atmosphere already buzzing with excitement as the live DJ started spinning our favourite funk floor fillers and disco classics. The music was not the only brilliant selection at Bill’s that night either.

They have also crafted a brand new and cleverly put together, ‘Night Fever Menu’. Opting for a ‘Studio 54 Sirloin Steak’ which consisted of an 8oz juicy beauty garnished with rosemary jus, salted fries, and a green leaf and seed salad, all that was left to decide was which cocktail to have. When I set about a cocktail menu, I love to see originality and wow did Bill’s deliver on this! If like me you love fruity and sweet drinks, you are in for a marvellous treat and not just because Night Fever Cocktails are buy-one-get-one-free of the same.

We opted for the ‘Cosmic Candy Girl’ – Malfy Limon Gin, Cointreau, Cranberry juice, lemon, lime and orange finished with a cloud of cotton candy and a ‘Super Freak Strawberry Margarita’. These are all reasonably priced from just £6.00 to £8.25, so be warned, it will be hard to say no to sampling more of these divine concoctions.

Just as we thought our night couldn’t get any more dazzling, Bill’s came up trumps with the entertainment. Wonderful performers on roller skates zipped around the tables and a mariachi style band serenaded us with our own 70s and 80s requests. We left feeling elated and with a definite spring in our steps that could only transpire from a night of music, food and entertainment at its grooviest.
