Gusbourne Estate Announces 2022 Restaurant Pop Up Series

Following a sell-out success in 2021, Gusbourne has announced the first of its 2022 line up of chefs for its pop-up restaurant series. Annually, the leading English wine producer invites Michelin starred talent to Gusbourne Estate to recreate their outstanding restaurants in the intimate surroundings of The Nest and against a backdrop of the estate’s vineyards and Kent countryside.

Gusbourne Restaurant Pop Up Series

Originally launched in 2018, Gusbourne’s gastronomic pop-ups have featured meticulously selected partners that truly reflect the estate’s unwavering quest for perfection, with dining experiences that expertly complement the estate wines.

The Hand and Flowers kicks off the 2022 chef series on 29 April. The only UK pub to hold two Michelin stars, The Hand and Flowers places the utmost importance on brilliant, seasonal ingredients, producing dishes of outstanding quality, a highly measured process reflective of Gusbourne’s approach to winemaking.

Then on 20 May, Gusbourne will welcome back Adam Byatt’s Trinity. A neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Clapham Old Town, revered by locals and visitors alike, Trinity’s core strength is focussing on a few simple ingredients, using classical techniques to create unforgettable dishes bursting with flavour. This will be followed by The Fordwich Arms, located just outside historic Canterbury, on 24 June for English Wine Week. A restaurant that celebrates provenance and the best local Kentish ingredients, Chef Patron Daniel Smith has previously been awarded Observer’s Young Chef of the Year.

Each restaurant partner will serve one lunch and one dinner service at Gusbourne. Upon arrival, guests will be invited to tour the vineyards whilst enjoying a Gusbourne aperitif and canapés before embarking on the bespoke multi-course meal served with Gusbourne’s sparkling and limited-edition wines.

Charlie Holland, Head Wine Maker commented:I am thrilled that the Chef Series will be returning to The Nest once more; it is a privilege to welcome these talented individuals to Gusbourne. Each partner complements our ethos and offering, with an uncompromising mission for quality. It is only natural we would collaborate with a collection of the most well-regarded restaurants in the country.

Gusbourne’s Chef Series are available to book now. Tickets are available through www.gusbourne.com with prices per head from £115.
