5 things to do at Battersea Power Station this February half-term
Stuck for inspiration on how to entertain the littles this February half term in London? Battersea Power Station is packed with exciting activities for all the family to enjoy, from interactive workshops to unmissable exhibitions and so much more.
There are a whole host of arts and crafts sessions that will be taking place across the London riverside destination, inviting visitors to unleash their imagination with fun activities including; Wooden Spider Crafts (18th Feb): Build and decorate your own 3D spider decoration inspired by the SPIDER light artwork by Groupe LAPS, the LED Hoop Disco (21st - 23rd Feb): Dance with mesmerizing light-up LED hoops in this high-energy, family-friendly session and the Free Face Painting (15th-16th & 22nd - 23rd Feb): Become fully immersed in the Power Station’s Light Festival and get your face painted for free!
In addition to the extensive range of free activities, our top five picks for the Feburary half-term are:
1. In celebration of its 10,000th performance and 20 millionth guest, Disney’s award-winning musical, THE LION KING, will be hosting a free pop-up exhibition inside the historic Power Station’s Turbine Hall A (17th - 23rd February), giving visitors the chance to explore the masks, puppets and costumes of some of the most iconic characters up-close, and learn about the inspiration behind many of the show’s impressive designs.
2. The free self-guided Light Festival art trail which has returned for its fifth year to brighten up dark winter months. The free interactive art trail features eight must-see light installations by British and international artists, with all of them either making their UK or London debut. Shining both inside and outside the Power Station from 8am to 11pm daily from 23rd January to 23rd February 2025.
3. Visit the world’s first-ever permanent standalone TRANSFORMERS and PEPPA PIG stores within the iconic Battersea Power Station this half-term and enjoy interactive and hands-on experiences with iconic characters from both global brands.
4. Visit DNA VR - individual VR zones and access to Virtual Reality Escape Rooms, Multiplayer Games, as well as the company’s signature Free-Roaming Experiences, which take place on a separate mezzanine level within the new venue. From surviving a zombie apocalypse, to travelling to the pyramids in Egypt or fighting off dragons, DNA VR has a game for everyone and every age.
5. Pop into Macaroni Penguin, a space specially designed for children to have fun, and for adults to relax. Designed by parents, for parents, this vibrant community hub
